iTunes pricing fixed... and thank-you's...

Hey guys... just wanted to let you know that the new EP is now up on iTunes in every country... and the pricing is fixed!  If you do, by chance, find an error with your country's pricing for the full EP, PLEASE let me know so I can make it right...  And, thanks again for your patience with this stuff...

Oh, and one last thing... because there isn't a physical cd to this release (and I can't gush on and on in thank-you's about the great people who worked on this record), I wanted to take a minute to do it here.  Three people in particular deserve mention - Kyle Meek, Kristina Katrus, and Dom Monks.

Kyle is the film producer who went on the trip to Peter Gabriel's with me, and man... what an outstanding job he did.  All of the images in the iTunes bonus artwork are still frames from his footage, and the video for 'Brave' is (in my humble non-video-expert opinion)... perfect.  I'm not talking about ME in the video, by the way.  I tend to think I look like a shmuck. :)  But, he managed to make me look good and captured the overall emotion of the song so well...  I'm truly amazed at the work he did.  It's possible he may be doing videos for 'I Will Follow You Into The Dark' and 'Secret World' as well, so you can look for those on YouTube in the coming weeks.

Kristina is a fan turned friend who wrote several weeks back asking if she could help in any way with the album artwork.  Her timing was perfect, and I was blown away by the initial mockups she came up with.  Soooooo... she did the entire project. :)  The album cover, bonus iTunes artwork, and new MySpace header.  On a very short timeline, no less.  Seriously, she went the extra mile to make sure it was right, and if you're in need of any design work, I highly recommend hitting her up.

Lastly, Dom is the engineer who worked with me at Real World, and he's hands down the best engineer I've ever had the good fortune to work with.  The studios themselves are amazing, but getting great sounds out of even a great studio isn't always easy.  And, it's a job that falls squarely on the shoulders of the engineer...  Not only is Dom beyond easy to work with, he's talented far beyond his years, and I sincerely hope I get the chance to work with him in the future.  I can't WAIT for you guys to hear the full-production songs that came out of that trip (the upcoming releases) - some of the drums he recorded are positively arena-rock. :)

Ok, so there's the rundown.  Their names are hyperlinked above if you feel like emailing them directly.  I can (and do) always pass along your positive comments, but it's nice to hear it straight from the horse's mouth, ya know?  Aaaaannnnd... reading over the last few paragraphs, I just realized the way I wrote it makes them sound like they're on some sort of ridiculous 80's dating show.  Awesome, Gav.  'Ron is a Capricorn who likes whitewater rafting and Southern cooking shows...' (haha)  Yeah, I'm an idiot. :)

Have a great Tuesday, and thanks for listening.

Gavin

ps - I switched distributors in mid-2008, and most of the iTunes reviews you did for my 2003 and 2006 releases got deleted in the changeover.  If you like the new EP, I'd really appreciate you leaving a quick review.  We're working on further promotion with iTunes, and it definitely can't hurt to have you saying you actually... like my music. :)  Thanks, guys.
